This red rock belongs to Eiichi Shibusawa, who is known for establishing the First National Bank in Japan (now known as Mizuho Bank), as well as the first stock corporation in Japan. The rock is brought from Sado, an island located in the eastern part of the Sea of Japan, was placed in his office (now known as Nisshokan) in 1888. It was there there to pray for the prosperity of the Japanese economy.
